The Afro/Latin band Demachena approached me about re-designing their website.

Working as art director, web developer and flash designer on this project, I really wanted to capture the essence of the band by utilising vibrant colours, textures and graphics that were representative of the bands sound and vision... hope you like. enjoy

Branding work for Therapy 4 Sports - a coaching service delivering a blend of massage, physiotherapy and yoga. I was approached to create a series of logos to reflect each aspect of their work, coming together under the umbrella brand 'Therapy 4 Sports'.

A colour-coded icon system helps identify the different treatments available whilst maintaining a consistent brand identity that expresses movement, science and trust, utilising a modern design aesthetic, optimised for print and digital media.

Starter Bikes - Website design

Design of the website and logomark for Starter Bikes. The brief was to create a fun, trustworthy aesthetic that used a simple visual style, was easily navigated (with obvious calls to action), yet still conveyed a level of adventure and learning that would appeal to both parents and young children.

Artwork for Demachena's latest album "C'est Fou" and a printed advertisement. A twist on the earlier artwork I created for the band's flyers and promotional materials; this design is intricately layered with a patchwork of vivid colours and textures, conveying an essence of Spain and Africa where the songs were conceived.

Design and art direction for the Scout Association's latest digital venture, the "Join the Adventure" microsite. The project was undertaken at Bluefrog.

Primarily aimed at a youthful demographic (16-25), the site is a recruitment tool for the Scouts, promoting the range of volunteering opportunities available.

The design is fun, playful and eye-catching and is tailored to be in-your-face, aspirational and informative.

I was approached to design a promotional flyer for award-winning band Demachena. The design expresses the bands African roots but also pulls references to contemporary Latin music.

Design of a leaflet to outline customer service policy. The styling is clear, corporate and modern to allow emphasis to be on the information within.

The design utilises the College's corporate colour scheme with a few extra highlights to add interest to the layout.

RCS - Intranet website - Intranet website design

Design of the Royal College of Surgeons Intranet. Stylistically I wanted the site to be approachable, accessible and friendly.

The old intranet used an orange/green colour scheme and the homepage was just a lot of links (with little separation or style), with this design I wanted to highlight new features of the website such as the forum, knowledge base and tag cloud.

The colour scheme is intentionally fresh; a level of corporate-ness needed to lie underneath the friendly, rounded boxes so the blues and greys combined with swirling vector graphics maintain a balance between approachablity and professionalism.

eSTEP Core - Website design

Design works around the on-line learning facilities offered by the website - so had to be a clear, adaptable style acting as a blank canvas to the complicated learning systems developed for the site whilst maintaining the strong visual identity of eSTEP.

Annual Report design and layout for the Royal College of Surgeons. The concept behind this design was to create an accessible, lively look whilst maintaining a level of corporate professionalism.

The report uses a colourful palette alongside sweeping, organic curves to create a lively, contemporary aesthetic, leading the reader through the pages.

Fragsound - Dynamic flash music website

A combination of flash, php and mysql streams mp3s through a custom-designed flash interface. The website has a secure admin portal for song uploading, editing and deleting. The website conforms to all W3 web standards for CSS and XHTML.
